ECO2 COP30 International Schools Conference

ECO2 COP30

Since 2021, when COP26 was held in Glasgow, thousands of pupils from schools around the world have taken part in our annual ECO2 COP International Schools Conferences.

Last year, 6000 pupils from 100 schools from 14 countries, including the UK, Azerbaijan and India took part in ECO2 COP29. This year’s conference is set to be better than ever and we hope you can join us for one of this year’s conference in November 2025.

This year’s COP30 summit will take place in Belém, Brazil in November 2025 with a key focus on “uniting for our forests.” To reflect this, our conferences will focus on the importance of creating and protecting trees and forests around the world, and their role in helping combat climate change. As in previous conferences, pupils will get the opportunity to ask questions to our expert panel, share their thoughts and feelings and hear an update on how the COP30 talks are progressing from a climate scientist.

To help pupils prepare for the conferences, we will provide three lessons for you to work through with your class. These lessons and associated resources will be available from September, ahead of the conferences in November. Differentiated lessons will be provided for each of the following age groups: ages 7 – 9; ages 9 – 11; ages 11+. The lessons will be provided in English.
