ECO2 COP27 Schools Climate Conference

ECO2 COP27 Schools Climate Conference

Inspire and educate your students about the impact of climate change and learn what people around the world are doing to combat it.

Last year over 4000 pupils from 130 schools in 13 countries took part in the ECO2 COP26 Schools Climate Conference. This year, ahead of COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, we are running another conference, ECO2 COP27 Schools Climate Conference, and we hope to have even more schools involved!

The ECO2 COP27 Schools Climate Conference will take place in the week of 30th October – 4th November 2022. Aimed at KS2 (ages 7 – 11) and KS3 (ages 11 – 14) pupils, exciting and interactive online conferences will take place during this week. Based on feedback received last year, the conferences will be split into KS2 and KS3:

  • KS2 – 2 x 30 minute conferences. Dates tbc.
  • KS3 – 1 x 1 hour conference. Date tbc.

To help your pupils prepare for these exciting and interactive conferences, there will be free, online resources available, for lower KS2 (ages 7 – 9), upper KS2 (ages 9 – 11) and KS3 (ages 11 – 14). Three lessons will be available for each age group, covering the following topics:

  • Climate Losses
  • Climate Solutions
  • Climate Hopes

To facilitate sharing between local and international schools, an interactive platform will be set up to allow schools to share ideas, knowledge and experiences as they complete the lessons and take part in the conference.
