Lesson 5: Energy Transitions

Lesson 5: Energy Transitions

In this lesson, the young people will learn about the impact of energy production using fossil fuels before exploring the variety of renewable energy production and storage solutions that can transition the world towards clean energy use. They will then identify what renewable sources are being used within their own country (e.g. wind, solar, wave), what renewable energy infrastructure could be implemented and the potential challenges involved in this. The young people will then research whether their local area is currently being powered by renewable energy and consider how their school could become more energy efficient (e.g. insulating the school building or installing solar panels).

We help you create practical and engaging learning experiences exploring energy, climate change and the environment throughout the curriculum.

Through our support and expertise we help schools to make significant savings through practical changes and implementation of the programme.

Resources for the whole school community to learn more about the environment and how to make positive changes to safeguard it for the future for all.
